All Roads Lead to the Royal

I shot a royal wedding recently, one which didn't involve anyone named Kate or William, and whose origins, at least as far as I was involved, can be traced back to a basement in Arlington, Virginia. As always, allow me to explain.

Kerrie and Reed

Kerrie La Fleur has spent her life around horses. So when it came to her wedding, it was kind of no-brainer that there would be some sort of equestrian angle to the proceedings. And Kerrie did not disappoint.

The Double J Ranch

Justin Grant married Jordan Kutcher on 5/24/2014 at the Museum of Women in the Arts. When you're looking to impress, the NMWA simply never disappoints.

Oops, they did it again!

David and Hope Porter had a nice wedding 25 years ago. But the pair decided to renew their vows, to put on the kind of wedding they weren't able to the first time around, and this time they had five wonderful children to help out.

Philadelphia Freedom

Cathy Kozen and Amit Patel traveled all the way from London for their Philadelphia wedding. And even though the silly government shutdown meant that much of the city's historic mall was closed, it didn't effect the proceedings one bit.

Downton Abbey-on-Potomac

It's been a long time since I've photographed a wedding at Oxon Hill Manor. Long one of my favorite sites, a nasty fire many years back kept it closed. It was good to be back.

Who'll Stop the Rain? These Guys.

Okay, so it rained a little on Rob and Kaiti's wedding day. Actually, it rained a lot. Like a monsoon. And no one cared. What happens at a wedding comes from the inside.

Saying Yes to the Dress

Though I can tell you the pros and cons of every wedding venue in the area, dresses have never been my strong suit. Ariel Seeley makes that problem go away.
