Lisa Buziewicz and Mike Kottmann had the smallest of weddings with the biggest of hearts. How many folks watched them exchange vows July 20, 2012 at the lovely Holy Rosary church in Washington, D.C.? 100? 50? Try 12, including the bride and groom.
And that's all they needed.
Their families came down from Pennsylvania, cupcakes featuring the Starbucks logo, a place special to Lisa and Mike, were made by hand, and the entire wedding party sat around one table on the roof of the Hay Adams hotel.
Simple.
But with the light behind them fading and the White House looming large, their nieces and nephews all clanking glasses waiting for a kiss and their parents laughing hysterically, all I could do is think of that Visa commercial, the one that ends with:
Priceless.
