Not Forgotten: The Yorktown Seniors of 2020

Yorktown High School

So many of the photos we’ve shot (and we’re not yet a week into this project) hit at the sense of loss these great seniors feel. Loss of baseball season, science awards, graduation events.

For Jade R., that loss includes her passion for riding. Here she is holding a photo of her on Hap, a horse she used to ride in Great Falls.

The range of pursuits of the seniors of Yorktown High School is probably similar to those at high schools across America. What I’m trying to do with this project is put a face on this class. “This is me” in a ten minute shoot. The seniors all are passionate about something and this is the time we recognize that passion.

Location: Arlington, Virginia.
