Not Forgotten: Yorktown Seniors 2020

Hockey Senior Portrait

Corey W. “I have played hockey for 10 years. I’ve been on varsity since freshman year and this year I was named captain.” As I’ve mentioned over and over, the hockey photos get to me because of my connection to the sport. When my own daughter started playing at Kettler (now Medstar), several of the seniors, like Camden B., profiled earlier, were her teammates. That was 2012. Where does the time go? Also, like his teammates, Corey told me that the loss of the annual Yorktown/WL game was a big blow. That’s what athletes dream about—the big rivalry games. Such a loss. Corey is planning on attending JMU in the fall where he plans on playing club hockey and studying engineering. Let’s bang on the glass for Corey W., Yorktown Hockey captain.
